Tools and Materials – Paul Alexander Thornton

Must admit I have never felt connected with sculls for the simple reason: I was afraid of them. I only associate them with death so playing with them was always like  conjuring death and that was my only association but work of Paul Alexander Thornton is very interesting because of his fantastic drawing and painting skills  and ability to portray life in harmony with death through its obvious symbols. The other thing that attracted me to his artwork was using different drawing media such as ball point pen which gave as a result very rich and vibrant imagery. His work is also very inspiring when it comes to using colors and I especially like softness and brightness of flowers.
